Overview

The Cure is the final storyline of Checkpoint K — the endgame that ties every enclave, every skill, and every map together. To complete it, a survivor must earn the trust of all twelve enclaves, gather fragments of Dr. Krechet's research from all four landmasses, and make choices that will ripple through the world long after they log off.

The Questline

Blood Work — Field Medics, Chernarus. Dr. Mirova identifies antibodies in your blood. She needs 10 infected tissue samples from across the mainland to begin synthesis.

The Krechet Papers — Cartographers' Guild, Chernarus. Recovering Dr. Krechet's fragmentary notes from three hospital ruins, decoded only by the Guild's cartographers.

The Deer Isle Bunkers — Field Medics + Bayou Traders, Deer Isle. Three Cold War bunkers hold the second half of Krechet's research. Each is held by a different faction. The player must negotiate — or fight — their way through.

A2: The Sealed Wing — Remnant, Namalsk. The A2 Research Institute's unopened wing holds Krechet's final formulas. The Remnant have guarded it for years. They'll open it for someone they trust.

Synthesis — All enclaves. Using reputation-locked resources from every faction, the final formula is assembled. Field Medics synthesise. Shore Wardens ferry ingredients. Iron Wardens provide power. Cartographers verify. Bayou Traders obtain the restricted chemicals. Deerhunter Lodge gather rare organic compounds. Frost Watch hold the cold chain. Ada_Firewatch broadcast the results.

The Choice — The final step. The cure works. But supply is limited. Who gets it first? Your enclave allies? The immune survivors? The infected who might still have a mind left? Your choice is permanent, visible to other players, and shapes future content.

Rewards

Design Philosophy

The Cure is designed to be hard. It requires Honoured reputation with at least eight enclaves, level 50+ character, clan membership, and 100+ hours of prior play. It cannot be rushed, it cannot be soloed, and the final boss encounter requires a full raid group.

It is the capstone. Everything you do in Checkpoint K builds toward it.
